Sofia (Sook-Yin Lee), a sex therapist and master of acrobatic sexual positions, reveals to her clients James (Paul Dawson) and Jamie (PJ DeBoy) that she has never reached orgasm. James and Jamie expose her to the underground sex club, the Shortbus. While on a spiritual quest for her orgasm, Sofia meets Severin (Lindsay Beamish), a dominatrix looking for a real strong connection. When they all begin meeting at the Shortbus, they are exposed to more than just sex of all sorts, they are exposed to themselves and discover what they really want or need out of love, life, and sex.
