Philip Fry (Billy West), Leela (Katey Segal), Amy Wong (Lauren Tom), Bender (John Di Maggio), and the rest of the Planet Express crew find themselves involved with the interplanetary development plans of Amy's father Leo Wong (Billy West). An accident during the demolition of "old" Mars Vegas leaves Fry with the ability to read minds, and gives Leela newfound resolve to stop the destruction of life when she saves the very last Martian muck leech. Once New Mars Vegas opens, Fry decides the best way to exploit his new ability is to enter a poker tournament, playing against Bender, who must win to escape the Robot Mafia. Meanwhile Leo Wong plans an interstellar golf course, the construction of which will obliterate a large chunk of the galaxy and destroy one particular Violet Dwarf star system. In that system is found an asteroid that could prove the key to saving all life in the universe. Leela joins up with the eco-feminists determined to stop Leo from destroying the system, and might just save the galaxy with a little help from Fry, who has infiltrated Leo's organization.
